Warriors wing Jonathan Kuminga seemed to have developed a close relationship with outgoing Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo, as evidenced by his reaction to the latter's move to the New York Knicks.

"Imma miss my brother man [heart emoji]," the 20-year-old Congolese wrote on Instagram while sharing a photo of the news.

DiVincenzo signed a two-year, $9.3 million contract with Golden State during the summer of 2022, with the final year being a player option.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Villanova averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game on 43.5-percent shooting from the field and 39.7 percent from distance in his lone season in San Francisco, earning $4.5 million in salary.

Last Tuesday, he officially declined his player option to become an unrestricted free agent and seek more lucrative offers.

Donte DiVincenzo Reunites With Villanova Wildcats Teammates

DiVincenzo has agreed to a four-year, $50 million deal to play for the New York Knicks, as per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. He was expected to receive a significant pay increase after signing a bargain deal for Golden State last season.

The move would reunite DiVicenzo with his former Villanova Wildcats teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. The trio won the 2016 NCAA national championship against the North Carolina Tar Heels via a buzzer-beater by Kris Jenkins.

Hart eventually declared for the NBA Draft in 2017, while DiVincenzo and Brunson won another NCAA national championship in 2018. DiVincenzo was named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player during their last title run.
