Paris St. Germain CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi has expressed shock and disappointment after learning about Kylian Mbappe's intention to leave the club.

Mbappe is one if not the most coveted star this summer transfer window, but the PSG chief thought it was not in the player's character to leave the club hanging or without getting anything.

Because of this, Al-Khelaifi warned Mbappe - sign a contract this July or get sold.

"That's why he has to make up his mind next week, or in a fortnight at the most," Al-Khelaifi said.

"If he doesn't want to sign a new contract, the door is open. That's how it is for him and for everyone else. No one is bigger than the club, no player, not even me. That's very clear."

Mbappe insisted on June 13 that he is happy with his current club and what's seen on social media are lies.

However, the organization remains disappointed as Mbappe still decided not to activate his option to play for PSG in the 2024-2025 season.

What Luis Enrique think of Mbappe?

New manager Luis Enrique was asked about the Mbappe situation, but he tried to swerve the question. Instead, he said he is preparing a team that fans can be proud of.

"Who they are - that's something that forms part of the day to day and that's something that you know the market and football are changing constantly, but we'll surely have a great squad, a great team and the fans will be proud," he told reporters.
