A video of what went down between San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama and American pop star Britney Spears in Las Vegas has surfaced, and fans are now more divided than ever.

The two camps have differing accounts of what happened, and the video, probably from a spectator nearby, can now help fans decipher what is real from what was said and what is not.

The video first showed Britney chasing Wembanyama as if she were a happy fan. She tapped the player on the back, which disproves Wembanyama's camp's claim that "a fan grabbed him from behind."

The rookie's security tried to shoo away the fan without looking using his arm, and that is when the "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" singer got hit in the face.

Spears' camp first claimed that she was backhanded by security and that she fell to the ground. However, the video shows nothing of the sort, although it did not capture everything as it panned to a different angle while the shouting commenced.

One person was even heard yelling at the French basketball star, "This is America for you!"

Wemby apologizes, Britney accepts

Victor Wembanyama said in an interview that he was aware of the commotion, but he was unaware that it was Britney Spears at the center of it. He apologized, and the American star accepted.

In a statement, Spears said that she felt embarrassed to share what happened, but she hoped that people improve from the incident.

She also explained her side and that she only wanted to give props to the 2023 No. 1 Overall Draft Pick.
