Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones never got to slug it out in the octagon, but they had their moments off it. The two got into verbal exchanges on social media over the last two years, the closest MMA fans got to when it comes to a showdown between them.

That beef is over now.

The Stylebender declared his conflict with Jones has already been quashed, and to him, the feeling is comparable to world peace.

"Yeah, [the beef is squashed]," Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. "We have understanding and common ground; we're just competitors, bro. It's like, why should I hate my brother?

"I went deep into my YouTube comments, and everyone was like, 'That made me smile, I was smiling so hard watching this,' and giving people that feeling watching us spar and play around, it was like, is this what world peace would feel like? Imagine world peace when people aren't at war, people aren't fighting, that's what it felt like."

History of the Adesanya-Jones feud

The beef started around April 2020, although it was unclear who started it.

Jones posted a photo of Adesanya getting oxygen after losing in a fight, and then the Stylebender responded by mentioning Bones' list of misdemeanors.

In October, Jones reacted to a pound-for-pound list and shaded Adesanya, writing, "When your ranked over Jon Jones on a pound for pound list but know you can't defend a takedown."

The shading became uglier as Adesanya posted a picture of Jones butt naked.

Adesanya challenged Bones to a fight, but it never happened.

Jones himself admitted that he is a fan of Adesanya, probably the start of how this beef mellowed down.

"Israel Adesanya, him and I are not friends, but he's probably the most entertaining guy in the organization right now," he told Sporting News.
