The Las Vegas Raiders have signed veteran cornerback Marcus Peters to a one-year deal worth $5 million.

The 30-year-old has spent the last four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, but he missed the 2021 season due to a torn ACL suffered in practice before the season started.

The 6-foot, 197-pound cornerback had 47 tackles and two forced fumbles last year in Baltimore, playing in 13 games during the regular season.

He played in the Ravens' lone Wild Card playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he made 4 tackles and 1 pass defended in the 24-17 loss.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Peters as the 18th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, and he spent his first three seasons in Kansas City, winning the 2015 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The Chiefs traded him before the 2018 season to the Los Angeles Rams, where he spent one and a half years. The team was able to advance to the Super Bowl LIII during his first year with the team, and he put up 7 tackles and 1 pass defended, but the Rams lost 13-3 to the New England Patriots.

He was dealt to the Ravens in the middle of the 2019 season, where he stayed until this year's offseason.
