DeAndre Hopkins' desire to join a club that can contend for the Super Bowl is well-published and well-covered.

He did not find that team, though, and instead ended up with Tennessee Titans, which are in the lower tier in many fans' books.

Hopkins, who just officially signed his 2-year, $26 million contract, is aware that expectations are not that high for the Titans to go far in the postseason.

"Tennessee is a team not many people put on their list, and I think I am not just speaking for myself, but the team as well, people are writing us off," he said on the team website.

However, he is ready for the pressure. He described himself as someone who always has something to prove, and that is how he relates to the Titans, who made the playoffs in 2021 but missed it the following year.

Raring to go and excited to play with new teammates

Hopkins, a three-time First Team All-Pro, will not turn his back on the challenge and is excited to start with his new team.

He cannot wait to get it on with two players -quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry, who he said are all about winning.

"I am very excited to play with Derrick and Ryan," Hopkins said. "I have admired those two guys ever since I have been playing against them when I was with Houston. They were hard battles, but one thing I always knew is I wanted to be around people like Derrick and Ryan because they are winners."
