USC Trojans incoming freshman Bronny James was discharged from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a sudden cardiac arrest during a team practice last Monday.

The 18-year-old was successfully treated for the health scare, and he arrived at the hospital fully conscious, neurologically intact, and stable, according to a statement by Merijie Chukumerjie, MDD, FACC, the consulting cardiologist of the young hooper.

The physician added that although Bronny's workup will be ongoing, they are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and family and community support.

The 6-foot-3 guard is now resting at home after being cared for promptly by the highly-trained medical staff of Cedars-Sinai.
