Sixers: SB Nation's Mock Trade Sends Damian Lillard to Philly for Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris

Damian Lillard's relationship with the Portland Trailblazers hasn't been that ideal since he made his wishes about playing for another team known.

Blazers would, of course, look for a fair trade in exchange for their superstar.

They got no. 3 pick Scoot Henderson now. How about pairing him with hungry and budding star Tyrese Maxey?

SB Nation's mock trade centered around Dame Dolla featured the Philadelphia 76ers offering something greater than what the Miami Heat could offer.

The trade makes sense for the Blazers since they will get Maxey alongside veteran Tobias Harris.

Maxey is a priced asset of the Sixers to the point that they even said he would not be traded, not even for Michael Jordan. But, of course, this is the NBA.

The trade package also includes first-round picks, although Sixers will have more work to do in this mock trade. They need to deal with another team to ship another first-round pick to the Blazers.

Keeping Embiid satisfied

This will be a great deal for the Sixers to keep Joel Embiid satisfied, who has played with an All-Star-level guard throughout his career.

"Lillard and Joel Embiid would be a simply incredible pairing, and would remove the threat of the reigning MVP being the next superstar to request a trade like Dame," SB Nation wrote.

"If anyone can figure out a way to get Dame to Philly, it's Daryl Morey. The Sixers probably need to involve another team to get some more future picks in their offer, but Maxey is good enough to make Portland think about a deal if Philly can do that."
