The NBA's official Facebook page looked different than usual last Monday morning.
Instead of seeing basketball highlights and other hoop-related content, a rant by a former disgruntled league employee was on top of the page.

Dean Joannou, who posted the rant, talked to Entrepreneur about the incident.
He mentioned that he inadvertently posted an advertisement for his startup social media managing company on the NBA's Facebook page, which has over 40 million followers.
Joannou was still logged into the league's official account even though he was no longer employed by the league.
"I quickly deleted it as an admin on the NBA's FB page. Then I used the platform to vent on the conditions there," Joannou said.
Joannou worked as a contractor for ten months before quitting a month ago. He does not regret his actions, refusing to apologize while urging the NBA to consider improving cybersecurity.

Former NBA employee slams working conditions
The employee accused the NBA of overextending its social media employees by making them work 14-hour shifts without breaks, even calling out Commissioner Adam Silver for their working conditions.
The rogue post also lamented the job pay, which is less than $50,000 per year after taxes. Employees also do not get health insurance until 90 days of service.
On another post, the employee advertised his business, revealing himself as Dean Joannou, a Digital and Social Content Publisher.
