Bronny James, the 18-year-old son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, has started his journey back to everyday life after suffering a cardiac arrest last month.

James is reportedly back attending classes as he continues his education as a freshman at USC. However, it cannot be denied that most are still hoping to see the 18-year-old back in basketball action.

Among those who remain hopeful include USC coach Andy Enfield. He, as well as several others, are still hoping to see Bronny James play basketball once more and that they will be patiently waiting, ESPN reported.

"The good thing is he's doing extremely well and he's in class right now. And we all love him," Enfield said. "I think everybody is hopeful that Bronny will return to the court. We just have to be patient and take it step by step."

This latest update comes days after the James family shared the reason for Bronny James's cardiac arrest last July 24.

LeBron James revealed that after evaluations done by several physicians from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Mayo Clinic, and the Atlantic Health/ Morristown Medical Center, the probable cause was an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported.

"Our goal is to support Bronny in any way we can academically, athletically, and be patient with how things develop in his return," Enfield said.

With Bronny indisposed, the Trojans will turn to Kobe Johnson, Boogie Ellis, Isaiah Colier, and DJ Rodman to front their upcoming NCAA campaign.

USC will have its first game against Kansas State in Las Vegas on November 6, according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.

They will also play in a Thanksgiving week tournament in San Diego, including Seton Hall, Iowa, and Oklahoma.
