Former NBA player Jason Terry is involved in legal trouble over a $25,000 Rolex watch.

The 45-year-old, who now works as an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz since 2022, has been hit with a lawsuit by New York jeweler Eric Mavachev, nicknamed "Eric Da Jeweler," for refusing to pay for a diamond-encrusted Rolex, as per New York Post.

Terry rented the timepiece to wear during a night out in the Drai's nightclub in Las Vegas during the NBA Summer League last July, according to Mavachev's lawyer.

The 19-year NBA veteran decided he wanted to buy the flashy watch after the event instead of returning it, and Mavachev agreed to the price of $25,000.

The former combo guard promised to have the money wired by July 13, even asking for the celebrity jeweler's bank account details. However, the money never came, and the watch remained in his possession.

Mavachev and his lawyer gave the 2011 NBA champion 30 days to settle his balance, but he still failed to deliver the payment, prompting a breach of contract lawsuit.
