Former New York Knicks guard John Starks is one of the few players who got the chance to play against Michael Jordan. The All-Star guard is aware of the ongoing Jordan vs. LeBron James debate, and Starks is siding with His Airness on this one.

The NBA All-Star believes that James damaged his legacy by jumping from one NBA team to another. The four-time NBA champion has played for three teams - the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

As far as the 58-year-old is concerned, this is a glaring difference, considering Jordan did not move around that much. Jordan spent most of his years with the Chicago Bulls and had a brief stint with the Washington Wizards.

"LeBron is hurting his legacy by switching NBA teams so much that it will affect his standing when it comes to LeBron vs. Jordan debates. Mike didn't move around. He wanted to play against the best. He felt like he didn't need to go chase players to join his team to beat the best because he felt like he was the best, and I think that's the difference," Starks stated in an interview with Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson of Bally Sports.

James has gotten his share of criticism, recruiting players to be by his side to go on an NBA title run.

In Miami, where he won two NBA rings, he had Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. It was something that ironically drew flak from Jordan and Magic Johnson, ESPN reported.

In his return to Cleveland, he joined forces with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving to hand the Cavs their first and only NBA title during the 2015-16 NBA season.

And, of course, most know how he teamed up with Anthony Davis with the Los Angeles Lakers to hand the purple and gold an NBA title, the fourth NBA title for LeBron James in 2020, NBA.com reported.
