In the eyes of Naismith Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders will win a national championship at some point and somewhere.

"I think he will definitely win a national championship somewhere," Barkley said on "The Next Round." "He don't even have his own players yet."

"The Round Mound" is one of many who have kept track of the Buffaloes' hot start this season. He claims that it was the easiest game to bet on in the history of college football, Fox News reported.

Further, the 60-year-old retired NBA player described Coach Prime as a wonderful person. He also hailed Deion Sanders for ensuring his players took their education seriously.

"He's gonna create men," the 1993 NBA MVP stated, "I mean, obviously he wants to win, but he's going to create grown men. And that's why I love the guy."

Aaron Rodgers reacts to Dan Lanning's locker room comments

Before the Buffaloes played and got blown out by the Oregon Ducks, coach Dan Lanning gave a fiery speech and said that Sanders and company were "fighting for clicks."

Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets gave his take on that flak and said it was an overreaction on so many levels in his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

"Deion has created a lot of buzz, and when you're creating that much buzz, people want to see you fall," Rodgers stated. "I applaud Deion because he sticks to his guns. He talks the talk, he walks the walk. He owns it when they get beat, and he's brought a lot of excitement to the Conference of Champions."

Shilo Sanders update

The Buffs are set to face the USC Trojans this weekend. However, Coach Prime could be without another player in his son, Shilo Sanders.

The 23-year-old is dealing with a kidney injury, and there remains no official word if he will play against the Trojans, SI.com reported.

The elder Sanders stressed that his son wants to play, but this will depend on the next 36 hours.

"He told the doctor, 'You know I'm a Sanders, right? I've gotta play...' He wants to play so bad," Coach Prime stated. "So we have another probably 36 hours before we really know if he's not urinating blood anymore."
