Considering the attention he has been getting, it should not be surprising if Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders has become a household name. Unfortunately, one popular athlete has no clue who Coach Prime is.
Like most NBA teams, the defending champion Denver Nuggets were busy on media day. Jamal Murray and some of his teammates were talking about the Colorado Buffaloes vs. USC Trojans game last weekend at the time, Sports Illustrated reported.
At some point, one reporter threw a question Nikola Jokic's way, asking the two-time NBA MVP if he was familiar with Deion Sanders.

Jokic would respond by shaking his head and saying sorry to the reporter.

Although he is a star with the Nuggets, it should be taken into consideration that the Joker is from Serbia. Considering he returned to his home country after the 2023 NBA Finals, the 28-year-old was understandably not around when the Buffaloes started their season.
Nuggets aiming for back-to-back NBA titles
After a successful 2022-23 campaign, it is only natural that the Denver Nuggets want some more. However, repeating as NBA champion won't come easy for the Nuggets, especially after losing Bruce Bowen to free agency.
No less than Nuggets head coach Michael Malone is aware that the coming NBA season is different and there is a new challenge ahead, the Associated Press reported.
"No one cares what you did last season," Malone stated. "We had success in that moment. But that moment is gone. We have a new opportunity and challenge in front of us."
