Aaron Rodgers is staring at a gloomy NFL future, although he made it clear that he intends to continue playing after suffering a torn Achilles tendon. However, the more pressing question for the New York Jets and football fans is whether Aaron Rodgers is returning this 2023 season.

The 39-year-old Rodgers needs a miracle to see that happen. And it appears he is clinging to that. He is doing nothing special out of the ordinary as he undergoes rehabilitation. However, he is keeping a positive mindset towards his case, much of which he explained in his regular appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, October 3, via ESPN.

"This is just my mindset. I believe in the power of intention. I believe in prayer. I believe in your mental status and the power of will. I believe in making room for the miraculous to happen," the four-time NFL MVP stated.

Aaron Rodgers needs huge miracle to return

The odds are stacked against Aaron Rodgers coming back this 2023 season. Aside from a torn Achilles tendon, the Super Bowl champion QB added that he is also dealing with an ankle injury, the Associated Press reported.

Given their struggles at the play-calling position, the Jets could use Aaron Rodgers' expertise right now. Zach Wilson has been trying to fill the void, but such has not been resulting in success thus far.

For now, all the Super Bowl XLV MVP can do is provide moral support to Wilson and the Jets. Beyond that, it is anyone's guess if Aaron Rodgers can return this 2023-24 NFL season.
