Manchester City came from behind last season to win the Premier League, which they will try to do again after falling to third place in the table.

City lost to rivals Arsenal in Round 8, 0-1, after losing to the Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.

Manager Pep Guardiola is unbothered by the skid. He thinks the season is still young, and their situation is something they have experienced and overcome before.

"No team has ever won four in a row," Guardiola said after the match.

"Defeats can happen, but we are in October. Sometimes it is good going behind. It is not the first time going behind for the contenders. Last season we were much, much behind, but the season is long. It has happened."

City won their ninth Premier League title last season by leapfrogging Arsenal in the last month of the competition. Gunners, who finished second in the table, held on to the top spot for 248 days before collapsing in the last few weeks.

Learning moment from Gunners

Guardiola also congratulated the Gunners for the victory and explained that the match helped them learn what needed to be improved from their side.

"We know exactly what we have to do and we do it. We recover people coming back, and try to break [the losing run] immediately as soon as possible against tough opponents like Brighton and [Manchester] United."

City will play Brighton & Hove Albion next before meeting Manchester United at the end of the month.
