Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa extended words of encouragement to his counterpart, Bryce Young, moments after delivering a 42-21 defeat to the Carolina Panthers at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, October 15. The Panthers further slid to an 0-6 record.

"Bryce Young is doing a tremendous job. There are going to be rookie mistakes. He will continue to grow. I told him the naysayers are an external factor. Believe in yourself," Tagovailoa said.

Tagovailoa's performance was impressive, completing 21 of 31 passes for 262 yards, and he currently leads the NFL with 1,876 passing yards this season.

The 25-year-old orchestrated a sensational comeback for the Dolphins, who were down by as much as 14 in the game's early stages.

The Dolphins surged ahead, scoring 35 consecutive points before backup quarterback Mike White took over for Tagovailoa with approximately four minutes remaining.

Career-best performance for Bryce Young

Young, the top overall pick of this year's NFL Draft, had the best showing of his young career so far, completing 23 of 38 passing attempts for 217 yards, scoring a touchdown, and avoiding any interceptions.

Despite that, the 22-year-old lamented his team's terrible start this season.

"It sucks where we're at it. It's not anyone's goals. It's fresh and it's not where we wanna be. But regardless of that, I don't think that this isn't something that I don't lose any confidence," the former Alabama standout said.
