Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami already boasts three former FC Barcelona players, and they might be adding another one to their roster next year.

Barcelona's current captain, Sergi Roberto, is reportedly moving to the United States at the end of the 2023-24 season, joining his former teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

Due to his fluent command of the English language, the Barcelona club academy graduate is expected to have an easier time adapting to America.

The 31-year-old full-back has seen limited playing time under current manager and former teammate Xavi Hernandez this season.

Vice-captain and goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has taken on most of the captaincy responsibilities for the reigning La Liga champions.

Roberto has been limited to just six appearances this campaign, starting in two of those matches.

Former Barca striker Luis Suarez was also rumored to join the MLS club for the past few months, although his current club, Gremio, rejected his request to release him from his contract.

Multiple reports from Spain have emerged stating that this season will be Roberto's last wearing the famed Blaugrana stripes.

The Spanish international's contract with the club is set to conclude on June 30, 2024. Joining the club's youth academy in 2006 at 14, he ascended through the ranks to become a valuable player for the main team.
