New York Jets running back Dalvin Cook has expressed dissatisfaction with his current limited role on the team and has raised the possibility of requesting a trade if the situation doesn't improve.

The 29-year-old joined the Jets on a one-year contract as a free agent, valued at $7 million, following his release from the Minnesota Vikings during the offseason.

However, it is evident that the veteran running back had anticipated a more significant role within the team's offense after making the Pro Bowl game in each of the last four seasons.

"I prepare myself. I work my tail off. I just want the situation to be best for both sides. Of course it's frustrating, it's new for me. I come from getting the ball 20 times a game. It's something I'm adapting to," Cook told reporters on Wednesday, October 26.

He also addressed speculations surrounding a potential trade ahead of the NFL's trade deadline on Tuesday, October 31.

"It's something I can't control, that my name is being floated around in trade rumors. It might be a good thing, might be a bad thing," the Florida State standout suggested.

22-year-old star running back Breece Hall has become the centerpiece of the Jets' offense, a situation that Cook did not expect when he signed with the team back in August.

Cook also clarified that he is not actively seeking a trade but indicated his willingness to engage in discussions with his agent and Jets general manager Joe Douglas.
