The Miami Dolphins fell short of completing their attempted comeback, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, 21-14, in the first-ever NFL game in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday, November 5. At the middle of the blame game is Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa.
The 25-year-old play-caller shouldered the blame for two miscues. One play involved Cedrick Wilson, who could have tied the game. The other was a botched connection with Connor Williams that soured the Dolphins defensive brilliance in the second half against the Chiefs, ESPN reported.

"I've got to throw a better ball. It was just miscommunication there. Then with the last play of the game, I'm always going to blame myself. I've got to catch the ball. Whether that's getting in a better position to catch it or whatever it is, can't end the game like that when we have an opportunity like that against a really good team," the Pro Bowl quarterback stated.
Dolphins coach also takes blame for Chiefs' loss
Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was not surprised seeing Tagovailoa owning up to the loss. However, he admits that he should also take the blame, citing miscommunication as the root of it all, ABC News reported.
"The miscommunication is something that doesn't happen if I put them in the appropriate situation during the week," McDaniel explained.
"So Tua didn't have time to observe. He signaled kind of a one route that has a conversion, and Cedrick interpreted it as another thing. And that's just things that, when you're working together as a football team, you have the right effort and mentality from all your players, that is a hundred percent something that I can control personally," he added.
Tagovailoa went 21-of-34 for a season-low 193 yards and one touchdown against the Chiefs. It was the third loss for the Dolphins this NFL season, all coming from teams sporting winning records.
The Dolphins will have time to review their miscues since they drew a bye for Week 10. Despite the loss, they still hold a half-game lead over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
