The NBA future showed itself in the game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Boston Celtics as Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum showed who's the best young player at the moment.

The Wolves came out on top after an overtime thriller, 114-109, huge thanks to Ant-man, who stepped up big time in the fourth quarter and OT.

Tatum, 25, tried to dominate Edwards. They even got tangled in a few plays in the crunch time.

They were at war against each other all night, and there was also a war of words. And that is what fired up Edwards even more.

"He got the stop on me at the end of the game," he said, as quoted by Dane Moore.

"And he was talkin smack at the jump ball at overtime. And I told him, 'I'm comin again'."

The two got tangled in the next play, and that's when the 22-year-old showed he was unafraid of the Celtics star. "Luckily, he called me up for an iso and tried to iso me, and I'm like, 'I play defense; I just got five fouls'. So I had to show him I could play defense. But he's a great player, one of the best players in the league, for sure."
