The Boston Celtics host the New York Knicks on Monday, November 13, in a big Eastern Conference match between teams on winning streaks at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Celtics won back-to-back games, while the Knicks are on a three-game roll.

The Celtics vs. Knicks game should be exciting to watch as they try to improve on their early success. However, New York may have its hands full against a powerhouse Celtics quintet, although they have the talent to pull off a reversal.

The Celtics are coming off a 117-94 win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, November 11. It was their second huge marginal win after disposing of the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, November 10, 121-107.

Celtics vs. Knicks odds

Heading into the November 13 ballgame, the Celtics are -8 point spread favorites over the Knicks. The Moneyline for the Celtics vs. Knicks clash is -333 for Boston and +273 for New York per OddsSharks.

Pundits project the Knicks to cover the spread and potentially pull off a stunner against the Cs. This will all depend on how well Tom Thibodeau's wards can play on both ends of the court.

Celtics vs. Knicks preview

On paper, it is pretty clear that both teams have the offensive firepower to achieve victory. Hence, it all boils down to the other facets, such as rebounding, assists, and so on.

The Knicks could claw into those odds if they control the boards. Mitchell Robinson has been doing a good job in that department, SI.com reported.

He is providing second-chance point opportunities with his diligent offensive rebounding efforts. The Knicks are leading the league in second-chance opportunities at 10.1.

Aside from Robinson, there is Jalen Brunson. Most know how he has blossomed into a star with the Knicks, and the 27-year-old continues to do so this season. He is averaging 22.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in eight games thus far and will be a player to watch in Boston.

But if there is something that may tilt the tide in the Knicks' favor, it would be their defense. They are slightly ahead of the Celtics. New York owns a rating of 104.7 compared to the Celtics 104.9 per NBA.com.

Boston, on the other hand, is not short of firepower. They are playing good defense and are leading the league so far in defensive rebounding with 38 rebounds per game.

Jaylen Brown played well in their last game against the Raptors, finishing with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, CBS Sports reported.

Jayson Tatum is playing splendid basketball, while guys like Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White have their moments. Against the Raptors, Porzingis also had a good outing, per NBC Sports.

The Boston Celtics should secure this win, although expect the Knicks to make it hard. Aside from home advantage, there is no question that Boston has a deep roster that may give Thibodeau problems.

The Knicks cannot be counted out. This contest could go down the wire if Brunson, Robinson, and Randle play well. If so, a stunning reversal is highly possible.
