Form (Last 5 matches)

Chelsea look better in terms of form. They won three of their last five matches, with the two losses coming from title favorites Manchester City and king slayers Newcastle United. Their previous outing gave them confidence as they pulled off a hard-fought win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Blues' main problem is their defense, as they can send the ball to the net, having scored 14 goals in five matches.

Manchester United won just two of their last five, including two Champions League defeats. If it is just the Premier League, they have won four of their last five. However, the last one was a defeat to the Newcastle United.

Injury report

Mason Mount will continue to miss games for the Red Devils as he is still dealing with a calf injury he picked up against an embattled Everton. He is expected to be out for a month.

Other players on the injured list for Manchester United are Christian Eriksen (knee injury) and Jonny Evans (thigh problem). Long-term absentees Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, and Tyrell Malacia have yet to return.

Chelsea's injury report is just as thick. Ben Chilwell will be out after picking up a knock against Brighton. Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, and Trevoh Chalobah are all still out, and return dates remain unknown.

There is good news, though, for Pochettino as striker Christopher Nkunku could make his debut this Wednesday.

"We need to assess tomorrow and then decide," Pochettino said on Friday. "They are close, but we need tomorrow to make a decision."

Head-to-head in the last 3 years

Save for their last meeting, where Manchester United came out on top, 4-1, the two clubs are even. The two contended into a draw in their last five meetings.

However, the difference now is the change in managers. It is Erik Ten Hag's first season with Manchester United. Pochettino has significant Premier League experience, but it is only his first season with Chelsea.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Pick

Chelsea has been the better team lately, and Manchester United is vulnerable to counterattacks.

The Blues will win this game, 2-1.
