Chris Paul-Scott Foster Feud: 'Go out and Do Your Jobs,' Says Adam Silver

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver finally gave his take on the much-hyped Chris Paul-Scott Foster feud. Paul and Foster recently made headlines stemming from the ejection CP3 got from the high-ranking game official.

Both Paul and Foster go a long way, and their squabbling dates way back.

Silver gave his take on the feud when he spoke on Sirius XM NBA Radio, technically stressing that both don't have to be friends but should still carry out their respective jobs as professionals.

“[Chris Paul and NBA Referee Scott Foster] don’t have to be friends but you both have to go out and do your jobs”.

"Scott is one of the highest-rated NBA officials, which is why he referees our finals games. Of course, Chris his track record speaks for itself. The way you handle that is the way we've tried to handle that, by talking to both of them and saying the expectation is that you're going to be professional...Whatever the bad blood is between you two, you don't have to be friends, but you have to go out and do your jobs. That's my expectation," the NBA Commissioner stated.

Paul-Foster feud unlikely to get resolved

Given their history, it is hard to fathom the two individuals settling their differences any time soon. Paul is livid and not the only NBA player who has spoken candidly about Scott Foster. Others who have had their run-ins with Foster include James Harden and DeMar DeRozan, per USA Today.

But given that Foster calls important games since he is a high-ranking referee, there could be more controversies and heated moments with the league's top stars.

Hence, Silver's comments are seen more as a warning per NBC Sports. However, seeing Foster calling games better and seeing NBA players complaining less remains to be seen.
