The Rams vs. Saints Week 16 match-up is one of the more important games in the latest week of the National Football League, as both teams still have so much to play for.

Expect the two to go all out and players to play their hearts out for a chance to solidify in the next round.

The New Orleans Saints' 7-7 record is identical to the National Football Conference South leaders Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which means they can still take their division.

The Los Angeles Rams also got a 7-7 record to sit at the second spot in the National Football Conference West behind the San Francisco 49ers. They are in a more precarious position as the Seattle Seahawks are below them with similar win-loss standing.

Rams, Saints, and Seahawks, together with the Minnesota Vikings, all have identical records of 7-7 in the NFC for the 6th to 9th spot in the playoff picture. This deadlock should be broken in the coming weeks, and this Rams vs Saints game will have deep implications.

Rams vs. Saints Week 16 Preview

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is back at his best, and together with long-time teammate Cooper Kupp and youngster Puka Nacua, they are torching defenses. Wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson is also playing splendidly with the three.

Stafford has a lot of options in the offense. Even Tyler Higbee and breakout of fifth-round pick Davis Allen also excelled in the past weeks. Overall, the team found their identity, which the Saint's defense should be wary of.

Over at the Saints, Derek Carr can finally do what he does best as the team's offensive weapons are improved. He played his best game last week in a 24-6 win against the New York Giants.

He targeted tight ends Juwan Johnson and Jimmy Graham for touchdowns, and the pair converted. Wideout Keith Kirkwood was a reliable option, too, for him. The offense can improve as wide receiver Chris Olave is set to rejoin them after missing the Giants game.

The Rams have a respectable offense, while the Saints defense is on a roll, limiting the Giants and the Carolina Panthers to a combined 12 points.

Still, New Orleans should look over their shoulder as they will face three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald, who has been the focal point of Rams defense.

Rams vs. Saints Week 16

The Rams put up points on the board in the past four weeks. They put up an average of 40 points in their last four, which speaks volumes of their offense.

Final score prediction: 32-23
