Murder suspect Chance Comanche has confessed to his participation in the death of a Washington nurse, authorities said.

The former NBA G-Leaguer was arrested a few days ago together with his girlfriend for killing 23-year-old Marayna Rodgers, a Washington-based medical assistant who, according to earlier reports, was visiting Las Vegas with friends.

He has since been arrested under the order of the Las Vegas Justice Court. His partner, Sakari Harnden, was also detained with bail set at $500,000.

Rodgers' lifeless body was found in a desert area in Henderson, Las Vegas, and her friends and relatives have been looking for her since December 6.

Now, Comanche, who played one game in the NBA through the Portland Trail Blazers, made a shocking confession about the murder, what went on days before, and his direct participation.

Comanche and GF lured Rodgers to her death

Harnden, according to Comanche, was the mastermind in the killing of Rodgers. The two are friends but had a row earlier this month after the former helped out in implicating Rodgers' boyfriend in a different murder case.

Without a partner now, Rodgers and Harnden remained connected, and Comanche's girlfriend tried to set up the victim with another man in Las Vegas.

The female suspect asked Rodgers to accompany her and Comanche on a double date in the City of Sin and set her up with another man. Comanche is in Vegas for the Stockton Kings' game against the G-League Ignite.

However, there was no double date. Rodgers' and Harnden's rift is too deep. They also argued over a Rolex watch before the Vegas rendezvous.

Police records also showed that both females were prostitutes who were in Vegas to earn money.

Comanche and Harnden tried to hire a hitman for $3000 but did not find any, so they decided to do it themselves.

They met after the game and went into a hotel. They told Rodgers that she tricked her and that Comanche was the client. This client is into kinky sex, so they had to use some apparatus and get violent during the act.

Rodgers willingly got her wrists tied, and that is where things went south for her as the couple gradually carried out the killing.

Comanche details how they killed the victim

Among the items used during the threesome was an HDMI cord, which Comanche used to strangle the victim.

The 6-foot-10 athlete admitted to the police that he choked Rodgers for 10 seconds and then stopped after hearing her struggling for breath. However, his girlfriend continued.

They checked her pulse and concluded she was dead, with fluid coming out of her mouth. They put her corpse in their car, drove around, and then ditched her body in a desert area.

Comanche even said he used a towel to ensure he would not have his fingerprints on the rocks they used to cover her body.

They went back to their hotel and kept their lines open with each other. Comanche even coached Harnden on what to tell the police, saying it is just like in movies.

Before that, he sent messages in a group chat with another man.

"I can snap her neck or just strangle the bitch," Comanche allegedly wrote.

"If you get a nice little thick piece of rope or sum sturdy I can do it from the backseat. Like how the killers do it in the movies."

Different background on Rodgers

Families and friends of Rodgers are seeking justice over her death. Previously, they related that the victim was an upright citizen and had a "good job as a medical assistant, and she would never leave her family back home in Washington state or abandon the dogs she had taken to Las Vegas."
