French superstar Kylian Mbappé has reportedly agreed to sign a contract to join Real Madrid this summer.

Mbappé has yet to sign the deal with Real Madrid, but is expected to sign with the club once it is no longer possible for PSG and Madrid to face each other in this season's UEFA Champions League.

The deal is reportedly worth up to five-years, with him earning 15 million euros (£12.8m) a season, plus a 150m euro (£128m) signing-on bonus. He will also keep a percentage of his image rights.

Mbappé spent seven years with the Paris Saint Germain Football Club, during his time with the club, he established himself as one of the league's best players, setting a record as the highest goal scorer with 244 goals.

He has 32 goals in 31 matches for PSG this season, making this his sixth season with 30 goals or more. He won the French Title with Monaco before joining the PSG at 18.

In addition to his impressive performances with PSG, Mbappé has also dominated on the international stage, playing a key role in France's victory at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

According to Football Insider Fabrizio Romano, he had planned to decline his player option for 2024-25. The move from PSG to Real Madrid has been expected since last summer.

Mbappé turned down a move to Real Madrid when he agreed to his current deal with PSG in May 2022. He has also refused the Saudi club Al Hilal's world-record transfer fee of £259m.

He has a one-year extension clause, so it is expected his departure will involve either a sale with a transfer fee or financial sacrifices on the player's part.

Now Mbappé would join Real Madrid, a club that currently leads La Liga by six points over Girona.

It is unsurprising that Mbappé will sign with Real Madrid, as the club offers him the best chance to compete for top trophies, such as the Champions League trophy.

La Liga has also been the home of some of the sports best in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
