The former Carolina Panthers player found himself fighting off a group of individuals affiliated with the T.S.P. (TopShelf Performance) team participating in the event. In an attempt to diffuse the situation, Newton was seen trying to restrain them without retaliating.
Amid the scuffle, another individual in a white shirt approached and threw a punch at Newton, making apparent contact.
Despite the confrontation, Newton managed to hold off the group until assistance arrived, including a police officer who intervened and separated several individuals from the three-time Pro Bowl selection.
Limited information is available regarding the origins of the brawl, which unfolded at the B.E.S.T. Academy 6-12 in Atlanta, according to T.M.Z. Newton's team was able to win the event despite the distraction.
Newton was in town for an event organized by his foundation, C1N, established in 2021. The foundation focuses on developing the skills of young athletes in football, offering opportunities for competition at the highest level through initiatives like 7-on-7 tournaments and other events.
Meanwhile, T.S.P. is a national program that trains receivers across various levels, including youth, high school, and N.F.L.

When did Cam Newton last played in the N.F.L.?
Newton's most recent N.F.L. appearance was in the 2021 season, where he played eight games for the Panthers.
Before that, he had a stint with the New England Patriots in the 2020 season, starting in 15 games after Tom Brady departed from the franchise. However, his time with the Patriots was generally unremarkable.
