Red Bull Issues Statement After Max Verstappen's Dad Jos Publicly Blasts Christian Horner

Red Bull Racing issued a statement in response to the emerging tension between team principal and CEO Christian Horner and Jos Verstappen, the father of Max Verstappen.

"There are no issues here. The team are united, and we are focused on racing," a Red Bull spokesperson said amid the controversy.

Red Bull has been enjoying on-track success, with the current world champion Max Verstappen securing victory in the 2024 season opener Bahrain Grand Prix, held last Saturday, March 2, at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain. The Dutchman's triumph marked his eighth consecutive win dating back to last season.

However, Jos Verstappen strongly criticized the Red Bull team principal, who has been under scrutiny for the past month due to allegations of "inappropriate actions" involving a female employee of the team, after the race.

"The team is in danger of being torn apart. It can't go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victim, when he is the one causing the problems," the former F1 driver said.

Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell remain affectionate in Bahrain

Despite rumors circulating that Geri Halliwell, the wife of the F1 team principal, was considering ending their marriage due to Horner's leaked scandalous text messages, the couple was spotted together at the Bahrain paddock, displaying affectionate behavior.

They arrived together, holding hands, and were even seen sharing a kiss on one occasion.
