It is still unofficial, but Odell Beckham Jr.'s time with the Baltimore Ravens is over.
The 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the Ravens organization and supporters.
"Swea on everything I appreciate the Flock more than yall could EVER imagine," he wrote.
"Did everything I could wit the opportunities I had. Wish I got to do it big for yall. Thank you for the Vibez! To the City of Baltimore I (expletive) with yall forever FRRRR. And most importantly to my brothers over there this (expletive) a lifetime sentence, I love yall!"
Beckham signed a one-year $15 million deal with Baltimore at the start of last season, and it was arguably his most productive season since suffering an ACL injury.
Fans deemed his message "sudden," as Ravens general manager Erick DeCosta hinted a few weeks ago that Beckham Jr. could return to the team.
While it remains unknown what happened to both camps, if there is even a negotiation for a renewal of the relationship, Beckham remains a serviceable wideout.
The Ravens saw the Beckham Jr. closest to his peak when he posted 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games and three starts.
There are many teams out there who could use his talent.
Here are some of them:
New York Jets
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has said before how much they need a wide receiver, but to this day, the team hasn't addressed that part.
The Jets had Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis, Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb last season, but none met the expectations.
Wilson is still with the team, but it would not be surprising if the others would be let go.
Beckham played his best season in recent years under a partnership with MVP Lamar Jackson. His form is likely to continue if he plays with someone like Rodgers.
The only obstacle here is the idea that Beckham wants to play with a title-contender team.
As for the Jets, they still need to address other parts of the roster.
Buffalo Bills
Gabe Davis has departed the Buffalo Bills after four seasons. The 2020 128th overall pick signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for a three-year, $39 million contract, which means a roster spot for a wide receiver.
Of course, the Bills will look for someone who could be as good as him.
The Bills will be an attractive destination for Beckham if he wants a team that is in the top tier of Super Bowl contention.
Beckham Jr, who has a "history" with some Bills players, is a great prospect for Buffalo if they want someone who can play deep, giving QB Josh Allen more flexibility.
It was also reported that Odell is willing to take lesser pay for a chance to contend.
New England Patriots
The Patriots, who are expected to draft a quarterback in the 2024 NFL draft, will need a veteran presence to partner with their new play-caller.
Having played alongside Lamar Jackson makes Odell Beckham Jr. a great mentor to the young ones that the rebuilding Patriots will select.
They are not contenders, but the rebuilding will only be successful if sound voices surround the main player.
As for Beckham, the opportunity is what he will get the most from the Patriots. He can use this as a foundation to land with another team next season if he ever decides to leave again.
