The Haas Run in the Way Train and How the American F1 Team Focuses More to Racing Than Netflix

It seems as though the Haas F1 team has changed their entire culture for the 2024 F1 season. Instead of entertaining us on Netflix's Driver to Survive, Haas brings us some excitement on the race track.

Unfortunately, this came at the expense of former Haas team principal, Guenther Steiner. But in this, new Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu should be more than pleased, as he expected Haas to be amongst the bottom dwellers of the grid; but instead are actually able to compete for points finishes at times, putting them way ahead of schedule.

In the first race of 2024, we saw Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg continue his trend from last season in showing forth Haas' qualifying pace by sending the VF-24 into Q3. Last year Haas wasn't able to capitalize on this qualifying pace as the car suffered from bad tire degradation, similar to their partners in Ferrari. Like the Italian constructor, Haas seemed to have also sorted out this issue in 2024.

So much so that the American F1 team saw a points finish in as early as the second race of 2024, in Saudi Arabia. This P10 finish from Hulkenberg was one of the more entertaining events within the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Haas Moving Forward

Aside from the cleaner driving from Nico Hulkenberg this time around, Kevin Magnussen stole the show with his DRS train that held up drivers from Williams, VCARB, and Alpine from stealing the final championship point; which was up for grabs after Aston Martin's Lance Stroll crashed out of the race.

Magnussen was able to hold up drivers such as Alex Albon, Yuki Tsunoda, and Esteban Ocon from undercutting Nico Hulkenberg on his late pitstop. This teamwork from the team will be something we can look forward to watching throughout the 2024 F1 season.
