One of the more interesting quarterback prospects entering the 2024 NFL Draft is without a doubt Bo Nix.

The Oregon quarterback has played at an elite level for the last two years with the Ducks after transferring from Auburn and is now looking to take his talents to the NFL.

2024 NFL Draft Profile: Bo Nix

Position: Quarterback

Height: Six foot two

Weight: 217 pounds

School: Oregon

Projected: Late First/Second Round

Bo Nix is not one of the highly sought-after quarterbacks in this year's NFL Draft, as he is projected to go anywhere in the late first or even second/third round; being that he is following QBs like Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and even Drake Maye. Still, a quarterback-needy team may be encouraged to take a flier on him in the later rounds.

Throughout his time with the Oregon Ducks, Bo Nix has shown many intangibles that would make him an outstanding quarterback prospect for any team in the NFL.

Nix racked numerous awards including a 2023 First-Team All-Pac-12 Player, 2023 Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and was a 2023 Heisman finalist.

Bo Nix has excellent athleticism, showing his ability to be very nimble and quick in and out of the pocket.

He is an accurate thrower on the run, especially on designed rollout plays as Nix layers his passes well. This trait could definitely bode well in transition to the NFL, where the linebacker and safety play is quite a large step above the college level.

Nix is an experienced quarterback with a competitive spirit, which are desired intangibles for a franchise quarterback. Bo Nix has played 61 games with both Oregon and Auburn together, starting in big games for both programs.

Bo Nix is also very accurate on short and medium passes as he thrived in Oregon's offense, using many screens and run-pass options; making reads simpler for Nix.

The Ducks quarterback does need some improvement with his footwork and his deep ball in order to shine on an NFL level. Bo Nix may need a college-friendly offensive scheme for him to succeed in the NFL.

2024 NFL Draft: Bo Nix Potential Landing Spots

Overall, quarterback-needy teams that pick in the second round or later may look Bo Nix's way if he is still on the board. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders or Denver Broncos could take a flier on him if he is still available.

If one of these teams are willing to create the right offense around Bo Nix, one that is more spread-oriented and utilizes RPOs, then Nix could have less problems when acclimating to the NFL and thrive early in his professional career.
