UFC 300: Dana White Raises Fight Bonuses to $300K After On-the-Spot Clamor

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO and President Dana White has made an impulsive but significant decision to increase the performance-based bonuses for the upcoming UFC 300 event by six times their usual amount.

Amidst vocal demands from fighters at the pre-fight press conference held on Tuesday, April 12, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, White gave in to their request.

"$300,000. It's done!," the 54-year-old UFC chief proudly declared.

It remains uncertain whether the UFC intends to make this a permanent adjustment or if it is a one-time occurrence for the milestone event.

Typically, the promotion awards a bonus of $50,000 each to the two fighters involved in the Fight of the Night and several fighters recognized for their Performances of the Night during a regular event.

However, in the case of UFC 100 back in July 2009, they did issue a bonus of $100,000.

Conor McGregor commends Dana White's decision to raise bonuses

Former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight champion Conor McGregor praised White's decision on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

"Huge shout out @danawhite and the @ufc upping the bonuses to $300k! Life changing money for many on the card. To look after your fighters is paramount!," the 35-year-old said.

The UFC 300 event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
