At least Eli Manning's play on the football finally made a positive impact for somebody on Sunday.

USA TODAY Sports' For the Win found a story from the News Tribune in Tacoma, Wash., that reported that Jet Chevrolet in Federal Way, Wash., ran a promotion prior to the Seattle Seahawks-New York Giants football game Sunday, promising $35,000 to 12 random car shoppers chosen by raffle if the Seahawks were to shut out the Giants.

Manning's five interceptions helped the Seattle defense shut out the Giants in their stadium for the first time since Sept. 4, 1995, a 35-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. New York had gone 149 games without behind held scoreless until Sunday.

Patrons that bought a vehicle at Jet Chevrolet received 100 entries for the drawing that was to be held Monday. The News Tribune reported 20 people purchased cars. Another 12 people who came in to browse were given single entries for the drawing.

"We wanted this to happen," Jet Chevrolet owner Jim Johnson said. "Everybody's pretty excited about it. We didn't really expect it to happen, but it did."

Johnson told the News Tribune that he has been a Seahawks' season-ticket holder "since day one."

The dealership now could be responsible for as much as $420,000 if all the contestants turn in their raffle tickets.

Manning's picks give him a league-high 25 on the season, tying his career high for a single season after only 14 games. He also surpassed Charlie Conerly for the most interceptions in Giants history with 169 for his career.

The dealership had insurance for the promotion, Johnson told the News Tribune.
