Shohei Ohtani is a huge contributor to the Los Angeles Dodgers' back-to-back World Series titles. With Yoshinobu Yamamoto hailed as MVP, there's no doubt this MLB team can repeat its championship run next year.
For Ohtani, winning over the Toronto Blue Jays is a fulfilling mission to accomplish, but more than that, trolling Drake has caught fans off guard online.
Dodgers Celebrate Historic Repeat in Style
Coming off their seven-game barnburner of a series against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Dodgers had to remind everyone why there's no team quite like them. It was a series full of drama, intensity, and heartbreak, mostly for Toronto fans.
At one point, the Blue Jays were inches from capturing their first World Series title since 1993, only to see Ohtani and Co. squash those dreams in very spectacular fashion.
According to Sports Illustrated, Ohtani was unstoppable throughout the series, especially in the marathon 18-inning Game 3, where he reached a record nine times and smashed two homers. His performance did more than tilt the balance of momentum in LA's favor; it also spoke volumes to his reputation as the sport's most electric two-way player.
Ohtani Aiming for Third Straight Title
During the Dodgers' parade at Dodger Stadium, Ohtani spoke to fans in English again, a continued sign of comfort on and off the field. He dropped a teaser for the team's next mission: a historic three-peat. The Japanese phenom's leadership and charisma have become as central to the Dodgers' culture as his talent on the mound and at the plate.
"We're not done yet," Ohtani told the fans, who cheered wildly. "Let's do it again next year!"
Ohtani's post-parade message hits different. After the parade, the Japanese baseball pitcher took to social media to share moments from the celebration, including photos with his wife, Mamiko. But what really caught fans' attention, however, was his song choice: Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us."

Of course, the track, very famously a diss toward Canadian rapper Drake, an avid Blue Jays fan-wasn't some arbitrary pick: this was a cheeky, well-placed jab that captured perfectly LA's swagger and confidence after defeating Toronto. It didn't take long for fans to notice the subtle message; comments quickly filled with laughing emojis and "cold move" reactions.
