Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique was confident about winning against Bayern Munich yesterday, but the latter proved why their 15-game streak is hard to break.
The German football club continued an unstoppable run this season as Luis Díaz's first-half brace secured a 2-1 victory over defending European champions PSG, even after they were reduced to 10 men before halftime.
Díaz's Double Shines Before Red Card Drama
The hero and heartbreak of the night was Colombian winger Luis Díaz. He struck twice early on, putting Bayern in full control at the Parc des Princes. His first came just four minutes in, after Bayern's high press forced PSG into a costly turnover.
According to the BBC, the Colombian showed his cool again in the 32nd minute, stealing possession from Marquinhos and finishing cleanly to double the lead.
However, Díaz's evening turned sour moments before halftime. A reckless challenge from behind on Achraf Hakimi saw his initial yellow card upgraded to red after a VAR review.
The PSG defender left the pitch in tears, later spotted on crutches with his ankle in a protective boot. His participation in the upcoming AFCON tournament now looks uncertain.

PSG Fails to Break Bayern's Wall
Despite Bayern's numerical disadvantage, Vincent Kompany's men maintained their defensive discipline. PSG, missing key chances and star forward Ousmane Dembélé, who exited with a calf injury, found it difficult to breach Manuel Neuer's goal.
PSG's Désiré Doué was also stretchered off during the 1-1 draw in the second half.
Serge Gnabry came close to doubling Bayern's advantage, his strike rebounding from both posts, as the away team continued to show their attacking dominance despite going down to ten men.
The breakthrough for PSG came in the 74th minute when substitute Joao Neves scored a spectacular bicycle kick to make it 2-1, reigniting hopes for the hosts. Still, Bayern's defense, anchored by the brilliant Neuer, stood firm against relentless late pressure from Neves, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Vitinha.
Bayern's Record-Breaking Start Continues
The win marked Bayern Munich's 16th consecutive victory across all competitions, the longest streak among Europe's top five leagues this season. Their perfect Champions League record, four wins out of four games, keeps them atop the league phase table.
Since lifting the German Super Cup in August, Kompany's side has looked untouchable. They lead the Bundesliga by five points, scoring 33 goals and conceding only four in nine matches. Their Champions League and German Cup form further highlights their dominance.
PSG Left Searching For Answers
Enrique acknowledged his side was second-best: "At 11 against 11, Bayern were stronger, without a doubt. You're playing against the best team in Europe."
The defeat drops PSG to third in the group standings, while Bayern's impressive record against them now extends to five straight Champions League victories.
PSG will look to bounce back when they host Tottenham on Nov. 26, while Bayern face Arsenal in a battle of unbeaten sides on the same night.
