Khloe Kardashian has "put the brakes" on her budding relationship with L.A. Dodgers star outfielder Matt Kemp because she fears it might hurt the family brand.
According to the Daily Mail, the reality TV star recently told Kemp "it would look bad for her divorce to be dating so soon."
Kardashian formally filed for divorce from NBA husband Lamar Odom on Dec. 13 citing irreconcilable differences. Days later she was spotted out and about with Kemp and the Daily Mail reports the two even attended momager Kris Jenner's annual Christmas Eve party together.
"They have to put on the brakes until it's finalized," a source told the Daily Mail Kardashian explained to Kemp, adding that she was so advised by her team of high-priced attorneys.
The source added it's all part of Kardashian's plan to make sure it remains "clear that Lamar was the cheater" as they held toward formal proceedings. Over the last year, at last three women have publicly claimed they engaged in affairs with the 34-year-old Odom.
The former Sixth Man of the Year Award winner is now said to be focussed on rejuvenating his NBA career and is rumored to have recently met with the L.A. Clippers in hopes of rejoining the team.
