ISLANDERS vs AVALANCHE Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from Colorado

Tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET, the New York Islanders (16-22-7, 39 points) and Colorado Avalanche (27-12-4, 58 points) go head-to-head live from the Pepsi Center in Colorado for the first of two meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. New York fans can hear all of the action by adjusting their radios to 88.7 WRHU while Colorado fans can do the same on KRWZ 950.

New York has won five straight road games and six of eight overall while Colorado is wrapping up a seven-game homestand and has gone 4-1-1 so far on it.

The Avalanche blew a 2-0 lead against the Ottawa Senators but were able to escape with a victory after Paul Stastny's tying goal  and Tyson Barrie's game-winner in overtime.

"I obviously think Paul and Landy are clicking well together and they played really well in that important moment in the game," first-year coach Patrick Roy said Thursday via NHL.com. "They had a good start to the game and finished really strong and took charge."

Stastny (13-20-33) has eight points in his last two games and is third on the team in scoring while Gabriel Landeskog (12-22-34) is currently on an eight-game point streak and is second and Matt Duchene (16-22-38) leads the way.

The Islanders continued their recent road surge with a 5-3 victory over the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Tuesday.

''Early on, I don't know if it was nerves or a lack of poise or confidence,'' coach Jack Capuano told NHL.com. ''But now we're just playing with an attitude, playing with an edge, playing with confidence and doing the right things to give us a chance.''

The Islanders have been paced by John Tavares (20-34-54), Kyle Okposo (17-26-43) and Thomas Vanek (15-22-37). Tavares has eight points in his last two games and is on a seven-game point streak while Vanek has a career-high 10-game point streak going.

In between the pipes, Kevin Poulin is probable to start for New York and is 7-12-0 with a 3.24 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage while Semyon Varlamov is likely to start for Colorado and is 20-8-4 with a 2.37 GAA and a .926 save percentage.

The Islanders look to continue being road warriors while the Avalanche looks to end its homestand on a high note when these teams hit the ice at the Pepsi Center tonight in Colorado.
