Nick Saban Coaching Rumors: Saban Says Coaching Under Bill Belichick Worst Four Years of His Career [VIDEO]

Great minds may think alike; that doesn't necessarily mean they get along.

CollegeSpun.com and FanSided.com both reported Monday that Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban revealed at the American Football Coaches Association Convention what it was like to work for current New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Saban was Belichick's defensive coordinator with the Cleveland Browns from 1991-94. The Browns went 11-5 in 1994, thanks in large part to having the league's top defense, according to FanSided.com.

Saban used the season to secure the head coaching position at Michigan State in 1995. The Browns fired Belichick after a 5-11 season in '95.

FootballScoop.com writer/content manager Doug Samuels tweeted about Saban's comments concerning Belichick:

"Saban: 'working under Belichick was the most difficult four years of my coaching career' ."

Or in other words, from a tweet by CBSSports.com's Dennis Dodd:

"Saban says 4 years with belichick were the worst of his life."

CollegeSpun.com noted Belichick's relentless work ethic and ability to work without sleep. He also has a reputation of being tough on his assistants.

Samuels also tweeted another nugget from the Crimson Tide coach: "Saban: the only sign we (when w Belichick w Browns) had in our entire facility was 'Do your job'."

Belichick ended up with an unspectacular 36-44 record, which seems to be the most amazing aspect of his tenure and association with Saban. Belichick has going to five Super Bowls, winning three, with the New England Patriots.

Saban has won three national championships in the last five years at Alabama.

It's apparent that the two were gaining valuable experience during their time with the Browns, but it's still hard to fathom that they only produced one winning season in four years together - however long ago it was.
