Tito Ortiz DUI Charges? Bellator MMA Star, Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Faces Six Months In Jail [VIDEO]

Former MMA champ Tito Ortiz faces up to six months in jail after being formally hit with DUI charges stemming from an accident where he crashed his Porsche Panamera into a concrete median earlier this month.

According to TMZ, Jenna Jameson's ex husband also faces a fine of as much as $1,000 related to the Jan. 6 early-morning crash on the L.A. freeway. The website adds Ortiz had been partying earlier that night at the nearby Playboy mansion and blew a .12 on a breathalyzer exam, far over the.08 legal limit in California.

Ortiz, who had two passengers in the vehicle with him at the time of the incident, was released after spending around four hours in custody and posting $15,000 bond, TMZ previously reported.

Ortiz currently fights for Bellator MMA and occasionally makes appearances on TNA Wrestling. Ortiz is best known for having held the UFC lightweight title far more than three years beginning in April of 2000.

Outside the ring, the UFC Hall of Famer is the CEO of the Punishment Athletics MMA equipment and clothing line and own a MMA training facility in his California hometown.
