Yuriorkis Gamboa Next Fight Mikey Garcia? 50 Cent Calls Garcia 'Beautiful Woman' Negotiating May 17 Date? [VIDEO]

Mikey Garcia's name is rapidly ascending pound-for-pound lists throughout boxing, but to hear rapper and promoter 50 Cent call it, he's little more than a bump in the road for his own fighter Yuriorkis Gamboa.

Gamboa, who is 23-0-0 with 16 victories coming by way of knockout, and his promoter are talking a big game, but don't exactly have a resume that screams for respect. Gamboa does own victories over quality pugilists like Daniel Ponce De Leon, who famously gave Adrien Broner all he could handle, and Orlando Salido, but doesn't have a signature win.

That didn't stop 50 Cent from bashing Garcia's win last weekend over rugged veteran Juan Carlos Burgos. "They may not be sure if they want him back on the [HBO] network because he just put us to sleep in here...don't forget that," 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, said. Then he took a personal shot at Garcia that is likely meant to egg him on into making a fight quickly.

"Mikey is a beautiful woman. She wore the blue trunks for us with the wings."

Jackson has called out Garcia several times via social media, saying he was scared to face Gamboa, and boldly stating Gamboa's too strong. Garcia's response, however, indicated very little fear.

"I'm willing to go up and meet him at 135 if he doesn't want to come down. I think it would be a great fight. People would want to see it. Why not? Let's do it. I think anybody they put in front of me, I'm ready to fight," Garcia said.

While Gamboa is a larger fighter and supposedly more powerful puncher, Garcia's skill set is very well rounded. He also possesses plenty of knockout power in his own right, as 28 of his 34 victories have come via the KO. According to reports, both sides are eyeing May 17th as a possible date.
