The wife of New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony says she would not advise women to pursue pro athletes as mates.
According to ChristianPost.com, La La Anthony, herself a media personality and actress, passionately warn women "don't try to get a baller."
Currently, promoting her new book The Love Playbook, the website reports the 34-year Anthony later added "just be confident in yourself when you go out there and you'll attract great energy and you'll get the right kind of attention. Guys can tell when you're desperate and thirsty and sometimes guys use that for negative things."
As for dealing with those who go as far as to show a romantic interest in her husband, Anthony added "they always get too close. I just think that's how some girls can be. As long as it's respectful, I can deal with it. There's a line where you go too far."
La La Anthony later added "I'm just very secure in myself. I can't worry about what's happening on the road. I know our relationship. I know we have a great relationship. He's my best friend and that's what I put my energy on."
