Aaron Hernandez murder case update: NFL vets barber now considered star witness, expected to take stand against him? [VIDEO]

Aaron Hernandez's former barber is now expected to be a key witness against the former New England Patriots tight end in his upcoming murder trial.

According the ProFootballTalk.com, prosecutors believe Robby Olivares may have information about the June 2012 killing of Odin Lloyd and an incident that happened at a Boston nightclub days before he was murdered which prompted the 24-year-old Hernandez to attack him. The website reports the two men were spotted at Rumor nightclub the night of June 14 and while there something was said or done by Lloyd that angered Hernandez.

ProFootballTalk added Olivares testified before the grand jury that indicted Hernandez and identified the secret apartment he maintained as well as his North Attleborough mansion. The website adds Olivares visited Hernandez's home to cut his hair two days before he was charged with first-degree murder.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in the probe and is expected to formally go on trial sometime later this year. He remains held at the Bristol County Jail without bail and refined to solitary confinement.

Hernandez is also considered a suspect in a 2012 drive-by, double-slaying in downtown Boston that remains unsolved.
