R&B singer Keri Hilson plan to use the pain of her recent break up with NBA star Serge Ibaka as "motivation" for her songwriting. according to HipHollywood.com.
Hilson and Ibaka recently confirmed their split after publicly dating for over a year and the veteran songstress tells the website she plans to be honest about her pain in her music
"Some things you want to deal with privately, but you're not always given that option," the No Boys Allowed singer told HipHollywood. "Most things I go through I have to write about. To be honest with my music ... for me to expect anyone to connect it has to come from a place of honesty. I absolutely explained what happened with the only three men I have loved in my life."
Now in his fifth season, the 24-year-old Ibaka has apparently also used the bust-up as added fuel. Over the last eight games, the 6-10, 245 pound forward has netted at least 22 points in four different games.
Overall, Ibaka is averaging 15 points and nine rebounds in helping the Thunder race out to the league's best record (42-12) and No. 1 overall seed.
