WrestleMania 30 rumors [VIDEO]: Shawn Michaels discusses wanting to face Daniel Bryan

There was some speculation that Shawn Michaels may come out of retirement for the WWE's huge WrestleMania XXX show to face Daniel Bryan at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 6, and while it isn't likely he'll return this year or possibly ever, "The Heartbreak Kid" said if he had to pick one opponent to wrestle he would pick Bryan.

Michaels, who trained Bryan, hasn't wrestled since he put his career on the line and lost to The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI, but "Mr. WrestleMania" said he would love to go one-on-one with Bryan and even the members of The Shield among others when asked who he'd face at WrestleMania if he had the chance.

"That's an easy one for me, it would have to be Daniel Bryan," Michaels told WWE.com during a 30 Years of WrestleMania podcast. "I'd throw in any of The Shield members. I think those boys are talented. Throw in [Dolph] Ziggler in there, throw in Damien Sandow, I think Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family are really good. There are a number of guys put in the right positions that you could just tear the house down with. And at the end of the day, that's what it's all about, it's going out there and having a whale of a time making people yell."

It was rumored that Michaels may take on Bryan this year, but it doesn't seem as though he will be coming out of retirement. Bryan is rumored to now either take the departed CM Punk's spot against Triple H at WrestleMania or get thrust into the main event scene and face Batista and Randy Orton in a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Michaels also spoke about being retired by The Undertaker--who is rumored to take on Brock Lesnar in New Orleans--at WrestleMania XXVI in 2010.

"I was thrilled about it, again, it's certainly for me much like all of my career. There wasn't a lot of planning, a lot of thought, the majority of what I did in my career was reactionary, because that's when for me I hit the truest and most honest emotion out of myself," Michaels told WWE.com. "I think everybody in this industry loves to do everything in hindsight, and in hindsight everybody's a genius, but the immediate reaction is what I go on. There was no planning that Undertaker would be the guy to end, none of those things were thought about. All of those things fell into place and I felt good about them and that's what I based it on. I didn't give it a lot of thought, it's sort of like when you know something's right you know it's right and that's how it was done."

While Michaels has put on some of the most memorable moments in WrestleMania history, he likely won't be "the showstopper" at WrestleMania XXX.
