The St. Louis Cardinals, trying to ride out Yadier Molina's thumb injury that will keep him out for six to 10 weeks, have signed catcher A.J. Pierzynski for the rest of the season. The Boston Red Sox dumped Pierzynski a couple of weeks ago, citing that we was a "negative influence."
