Chipper Jones garnered 97.2 percent of the ballots from baseball writers across America. Joining him in 2018 Hall of Fame class are Trevor Hoffman, Vladimir Guerrero, Jim Thome, Alan Trammell, and Jack Morris.

Jerry Dowling, a cartoonist who has been retired from the Cincinnati Enquirer for 20 years, has a Baseball Hall of Fame ballot and used it to vote for Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Mark McGwire but not Craig Biggio because Biggio "cheated" by putting on arm padding.
