Boston Celtics fans need to pray hard that the Cleveland Cavaliers-Orlando Magic series will go down to a seventh game after it was confirmed that starting center Kristaps Porzingis will be out for a significant amount of time.

The team must also wrap up their series with the Miami Heat quickly to accommodate the center's recovery time.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that Porzingis will miss time after injuring his knee in Game 4 of their series with the Heat.

"Celtics C Kristaps Porzingis is expected to miss a minimum of several games with the right soleus strain, sources tell ESPN," Wojnarowski wrote on X.

His injury is similar to that of Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Greek Freak has yet to play a game in the playoffs after sitting out their last three games of the regular season.

Giannis has been out for almost three weeks now.

The NBA Playoffs will run until the second week of June.

Porzingis is the most important player for the Celts

Coach Joe Mazzulla lamented Kristaps Porzingis's injury but insisted that the team's mindset and game plan remained the same.

He also praised his team for stepping up without their starting center.

He also called KP "the most important player for the Celtics to get where they want to go."

Veteran Al Horford will replace KP for now, while Luke Kornet could come in as a reliever.

Porzingis produced 14 ppg in the first three games before the injury.

His main role was stopping Bam Adebayo, who scored 20-plus points in all four games they played.
