WWE Main Event Results, Highlights and Analysis: Bray Wyatt Leaves the Choir Home, Fights Sheamus as Warm Up for Extreme Rules

This Sunday at WWE Extreme Rules, it will be John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt in a Steel Cage Match. Before clashing with Cena in the cage and after bringing in a children's choir that wore goat masks to mess with John's head on Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt had other business to attend to on WWE Main Event Tuesday 4/29/14 in the form of the Celtic Warrior Sheamus. Here are the full WWE Main Event results on highlights and analysis:

--Goldust defeated Alberto Del Rio - the storyline here was that Alberto Del Rio was coming off a win over Cody Rhodes on Raw, and so now it was Goldust's turn to face him. Goldust got the win with the Final Cut after Del Rio landed much of the offense throughout the match.

After the match, Renee Young interviewed Goldust and then Cody Rhodes who was at ringside the whole time. Goldust said the Brotherhood will always be intact but the implication is that they would continue to have singles matches rather than remain a tag team. Cody took offense to Renee asking him about Goldust beating Del Rio as he sold anguish over losing on Monday. He then apologized with Goldy's encouragement and said The Brotherhood was together.

--Divas champion Paige defeated Alicia Fox - This continued Paige's string of matches against lower-card WWE Divas as the WWE fans get to know her better before facing Tamina Snuka at Extreme Rules. Tamina and Paige had a staredown after Paige won the match with a DDT.

--Renee Young interview with Sheamus - Sheamus is not afraid of Bray Wyatt

--Bad News Barrett defeated Kofi Kingston - Before the match Barrett cut a promo on Big E, then won the match with a Bullhammer Elbow that he landed on Kofi outside the ring so he had to roll him back in to get the pin.

--Main Event: Bray Wyatt defeated Sheamus - After The Wyatts made their entrance, Bray Wyatt led the crowd once again, signing "He's got the whole world in his hands." How hilarious would it be if he brought out the choir every show from now on? Anyway, Sheamus was a great opponent for Wyatt here because he was able to land some brawling-style offense as they went back and forth. Bray and Sheamus went after each other hard, and in the middle of the match Sheamus clubbed Bray with hard shots and then hit a flying shoulder tackle off the top rope. Bray Wyatt then nailed Sheamus with a flying forearm as the crowd chanted, "This is awesome!"
