Kordell Stewart is refuting his reality TV wife's claims that he physically abused her during their short-lived marriage as no more than her latest, desperate attempt for fame and fortune.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams told RadarOnline.com earlier this week she was the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of the former NFL quarterback before they divorced several months ago.
"My heart goes out to Porsha," Stewart told Radar of his 31-year-old ex, who was also recently jailed on assault charges after attacking castmate Kenya Moore during a live-air reunion show taping of their Bravo-aired reality show.
"It is obvious she is really struggling in many different ways," Stewart added. "I wish her well. The most recent untruths by Porsha is her attempt to keep her name in the bright lights. Her current behavior has nothing to do with me."
Stewart and Williams formally divorced in March and since then have waged a back-and-forth public dispute where she has hinted that she now believes her NFL ex might be gay because their were times in their marriage where he did not physically desire her. Williams reportedly walked away from divorce proceedings without receiving any assets or alimony.

As for the abuse claims, Stewart added "her latest claims of physical and mental abuse are false. I completely deny all accusations. It's ludicrous. I'm focused on being a single dad and raising my son."
